Them : We were wondering why this user doesn't have access
Me : I don't see any requests for this user to have this access
Them : that stinks. it also corresponds with what the service desk told her this morning.
Me: ... and you didn't believe service desk?

As a person who fixes computers for the Air Force, I know this all to well. We have a Service Center for a reason. You're not to be coming up to us and asking us for "favors" or why something hasn't been done when we don't have a ticket for it. Gah!!!

I hated that crap when I was in the Air Force working the HD. Thankfully, NCO = make the Airmen deal with the window.

Yeah, I'm really not sure what they expected me to do but Ireally can't blame them for doubting service desk, haha!

Yea...I'm a Senior Airman and while I do get to make some decisions (usually the ones already made for me), I still have to deal with a lot of the bullshit that falls on me from above.

And with some questions I can understand. But seriously. I love when people I said Hi to one time in the hallway come in and say: "Hey man! How you doin'? Good? Good! Hey, can you do me a favor and fix my Facebook?" That's usually when I just laugh and walk away.

I hit SrA while I was an aircraft mechanic. That was the turning point where you went from "Hey, dumbass! WTF are you doing!? You have no idea what you're doing!!" to "Hey dumbass! Why aren't you fucking out there working on something!? You're supposed to be out there teaching the new guys!!"
Now in Comm, totally different. I came into Comm with a line number for SSgt so I got treated a little differently.

Ha ha yea. I came into the Air Force as a one-striper and basically got to enjoy my "Airman Ignorance" than, A1C and I'm leading projects under close supervision. Now I'm a SrA and I'm expected to take the lead on projects...BUT NO NCO'S WILL LET ME OR THE OTHER SrA IN THE SHOP MAKE ANY DECISIONS!!!
